Derrick, the blue lantern bug is Pyrops whiteheadi. A contact of mine IDed it.

Thanks, I can now label the photo. What about the other? It looks a bit like the common P. candelarium, but I think it is something else..

The shots of the Theopropus elegans were superb. It really is a great looking and well disguised mantis.
