The Papilio memnon agenor f. alcanor is interesting. According to Pinratana, this form is similar to f. distantianus, but "the white area is restricted and not, or only just, entering into the cell". Ek-Amnuay does not provide a description, but shows a specimen with hardly any white at all, only 4 small oblong spots. The photo here shows the opposite, with considerably more extensive white than f. distantanius.

You are right here. JN Eliot states the same.
I merely assumed it is alcanor because the white is extensive below the cell & the pix below labelled f-alcanor..

The 2nd pair in this HK series should be f-alcanor.

Not sure what this form with extensive white is called.

I have never been unable to understand the division of Pieris into Pieris and Artogeia. They were all Pieris when I was growing up (a long, long time ago!!!)

Eliot considered the two as subgenera & perhaps is best left as such.

Artogeia has shorter androconia with a pear-shaped base.
Pieris has long androconia with a similar cordate base.
