    Default UFO Skipper

Found this rather tame UFO skipper resting on the fruit of Passiflora foetida.
Its is bigger than a typical Potanthus sp. but smaller than a typical Telicota sp. Any idea or suggestion for its ID?

Interesting butt. I'd say it's something closer to the Telicota than Potanthus. The worn off scales on the undersides makes it more difficult to guess if the spots on the hindwings are so prominent or not.

Thanks, Khew for sharing your thought. The prominent spots caught my attention in the field and I decided to have a few shots thinking that the spots might be useful for ID purpose. As you said it, the spots could become so contrasting due to worn off scales.

I will file it under the "UFO Telicota" folder for now.
