I have a query on the rule of thirds. To me, I like the way you take the picture where the butterfly (main subject in this case) is somewhere near the center of the photograph and of course, not to mention about the surroundings.
I had this photo (see below) but when I asked some of my friends to take a look, they said that the main subject is "too center".
Then, I tried to use rule of thirds during another round, I got something like this:
I know that composition is very subjective but please give your valuable feedback regarding the position of the main subject. Thank you.
BL, the first shot the Lesser Grass Blue, I will have preferred a portrait crop. Too much space left and right of the butt. The second, Cycad Blue, get a better angle by shooting from the same height as the butt rather than a higher angle as this make the butt looks distorted, also too much space on the left.
