This individual is unusual in that the FW postdiscal band is serially broken, which is not usually the case.

Thanks Dr Seow
Too challenging and time-consuming for me to compare and analyse these Malaysian Arhopala species photographed in Kadah, Sg Sedim.
Let Dr Seow help me. Thanks

Arhopala metamuta.
The FW is raised high enough to see postdiscal spots2 & 3 with their margins aligned obliquely.
2nd pic shows the bicolored wings.

Arhopala aedias.
The rounded ,loose postdiscal spots is characteristic of this species.
27. https://www.butterflycircle.com/atta...1&d=1751868156
Arhopala sublustris.
The markings are as for the alea subgroup.
The shape of HW postdiscal spots 6 and 7 suggest A. sublustris and close relatives.
There is a bit of tear of the FW showing just a hint of light blue, the colour seen in sublustris.
Practically all others in the group are rather dark blue or deep violet.
See 2nd image for upperside.

Arhopala phaenops.
Two species in the alea subgroup have a border UpF.
In A. selta the cborder is wider, more so on the HW, UnH spot 6 often blocky & widely overlap the cellend bar.
Surprisingly no quality museum image.

Arhopala phaenops.
FW border narrow, just widen at the apex; Hw border narrow.
UnH spot 6 overlaps the cellend bar narrowly.

A. evansi have a slatey glaze.
A. phanda have thick columnar spots 6 & 7.

This is fairly typical Jamides alecto.
JAMID.png
Jamides alecto.
1 FW postdiscal band dislocated at vein 6.
2. fw without costal daskes ( forming a spot)
3. FW lower white striae thick.
4. HW innermost band dislocated.
https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/2847201050
https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/2847201045
Also.
Jamides elpis.
Very similar in all respect except the striae especially on the FW are relatively thin.
https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/2847200973
https://www.gbif.org/occurrence/2847200974
Jamides talinga.
Very similarly marked as in elpis and alecto.
FW with a pair of costal white dashes ,often faint above the discal band. This forms a spot.

Jamides ferrari.
1. FW postdiscal band slightly dislocated at vein 6.
2. FW without costal dashes /spot.
3. HW innermost band not dislocated or barely so.

https://thaibutterflies.com/Butterfl...mides-ferrari/
J cunilda is rather similar to J. ferrari but
FW usually have a pair of costal dashes forming a spot.
HW orange extensive covering the nearby white stria.
