Two more Arhopala species from Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Jun 25.
Need help to to confirm / ID.
I am pretty sure image 1 is A. zamba.
Image 2, I am not at all sure of. Maybe A. athada?
    Many thanks

    Probable Arhopala athada.
Note FW spot 9 is slightly shifted in; HW spot 6 and 7 more or less upright.

    Arhopala silhetensis.
Note wide spacing of bands; FW spot 9 well shifted in; HW spots 6 and 7 oblique with curvy margins.

The cleander subgroup of the cleander group comprises four large Oakblues.
They can also be quite confusing because of wide individual variations in each species.

    Arhopala zambra.
FW spot 9 as wide or wider than spot 6 and in line with spots 4, 5, and 6.
FW costal spot 10 wide as the cellend bar and directly on top of it.
HW spots 6 and 7 usually partially oblique.

    Arhopala cleander.
FW spot 9 more often narrower than spot 6 but more or less in line with the rest
Postdiscal band typically not dislocated at vein 4 (hidden in fieldshot).
    FW spot 10 small.
HW spots 6 and 7 usually partially oblique.

    Many thanks.
I should have known silhetensis since it occurs in the north.
But not sure what to make Image 1, as it lacks spot 10 totally.?
    Thanks

I assume A. athada can show lack of spot 10.

This one looks to have an injury or a developmental defect where spot 10 is.

    Correction to image 1.
    https://www.butterflycircle.com/atta...8&d=1751956829
Very likely to be Arhopala cleander.

I never really read in the text properly but there is some mention of A. cleander.
    Here is a revised description.

    Arhopala cleander.
FW spot 9 may be in line or just shifted inwards a little.
FW postdiscal band not dislocated at vein 4 (not visible at rest).
FW spot 10 may be absent.
HW spot 6 usually narrower than the spacing between spot 5 and the cellend bar.
(Typo error in C&P4 states this as interval of spot 6 and endcell bar.)

FW spot 10 is clearly absent.
HW spot 6 is somewhat rounded but is acceptable variation.

    Typical.

With spot 10 weak and obscure.

    With FW spot 10 absent.
