Although there is only one FW cellspot the rounded angular HW is a characteristic of E. hecabe.
One or more cellspot is sometimes lost.
E. lacteola looks similar but the HW is evenly round and spot 7 is a sinuous shape.

FW postdiscal spots of nearly equal sizes.
Ground brownish, diffuse.
HW base of space 3 with a triangular white spot which forms part of the discal band.
This Thai example shows a large triangular spot at the base of space 3.
