Thailand have many closely allied species that are very difficult to separate in fieldshots.

    1. Ancistroides nigrita.

    A. nigrita can be recognised by the pale sub-marginal fasciae on both wings .
The wings are rounded but this topdown view distort it.

2 Appias paulina . ssp in your area is adamsoni.

    A. lyncida have broad brown HW border in both sexes & can be immediatelydismissed.

Only two species will match the FW subapical white spots & the irregular HW border.

In A. albina the HW have a regular sawtoothed appearance.

In A. paulina the HW border is rather irregular.Variable.

    3. Rohana tonkiniana siamensis.

The two species tonkinniana & perisatis are practically identical except in wingshape.

    R. perisatis have a more defined truncate FW apex, deeper concave margin & taller HW that tapers to the tornus.
The female of parisatis differ in that the inner margin of the discal band is acutely angled.

    R. tonkiniana have broader wings ,less concave margin & less defined truncate apex.
    HW is more rounded.
The female have the inner margin of discal band less acute & about right-angled.

This image matched the male from Nan (set specimen) & the field shot in the right upper left corner (bottom page.) FW margin barely concave.

    4. probably correct as Zeuxidia masoni.Female.
The two spwcies are near identica.

The dark discal line appear to be more strongly developed down to the HW tornus in Z. masoni.
    See field shots in webpage.

    5. Terinos clarissa militum.
Yutaka considered taxon falcata a junior synonym of militum.

    T. clarissa have a series of postdiscal lunulate spots near the inner margin of the yellwish/pink zone.
The submarginal spots are weak or absent.
In contrast, T atlita have the submarginal spots present & the postdiscal spots absent.

In the photo the postdiscal spots (2) can be seen.

    Others as ssp falcata.

Placed as a ssp of atlita in the early days.

    6. Vindula erota.

    Two species are very similar.
    VINDULA.png
    Vindula dejone.
FW postdiscal band the marks are parallel to the cellend bar.

    Vindula erota.
FW postdiscal band the marks are closer to the upper end of the cellend bar.

Amazing! Thanks so much Seow. Despite trawling through various web sources I only got part of the way there - your expert knowledge really does show.

The drawn images were in error, being transposed.
    V. dejone have the postdiscal marks parallel to the cellend bar, & V. erota have the postdiscal marks comong close to the cellend bar.

    I have corrected that.

    TL Seow: Cheers.
