Telicota can be very difficult. A shift in the angle of light renders the colour tone hard to judge.
T. augias. Male ;Uniformly deep orange including face & abdomen. Veins in male not dark dusted.

T. colon male; FW spots staggered in a stepladder arrangement. Veins may be lightly darkened. Face slightly paler.

Face & lower part of abdomen paler but may be hard to see the abdomen.

T. besta male. Veins across HW band may be lightly dark-dusted but hard to judge & not reliable.
Only the face is paler.
