Prothoe franck ssp. (Blue Begum). The ssp. is difficult to ascertain as KK is at the meeting point of the three known ssp. found in Thailand, and no records are available from that area as far as I can see. In due course, a specimen will need to be collected to confirm which ssp. it is! The strong white forewing stripe on the underside suggests it is more likely to be a southern record of
P. franck angelica, but there is very little info on this ssp. (only one record from Tablan, Umphang in 2010.
