My First D100 Butterfly Shots

Tried out my new heavy (compared to Z1) toy at TPTP this afternoon. Forgot to bring external flash.

Both : ISO 250, 1/60 sec, f/16

#2 : Peacock Flower

ISO 250, 1/125, f/11

So used to shoot at close range with my Z1, now with D100 I cannot focus at close range.

Please comment.
BTW, spotted many AL's cats.

Congrats on your new toy!!! BTW, which lens were you using? Good attempts for a first timer to DSLR there. 1st and especially the 3rd pic are pretty sharp, and well exposed too, especially the whites on the flower in the 1st pic. 2nd pic suffers a bit from blur probably due to motion shake/slow shutter.

Do keep shooting, I'm sure u'll get the hang of ur new toy in no time. One tip: Practice lots!

Hmm... at least the exposure seems right. The lens that I sold you is not meant to be a macro lens, hence it cannot focus close. You'll still need to get a proper macro lens.
