    Default Which Potanthus?

Also at Ubin today. Typical Potanthus sized fella. But there is another subapical spot beyond space 8! No darkened veins crossing the underside hindwing patch.

    What is it, Seow?

    It is Potanthus ganda.
It has the usual large spot in space 7 on the hindwing above.
The forewing band rules out trachala(not detached), confucius(not joined continuously), & chloe(not joined in a straight line).

    P. mingo as we had seen has a lot dark spots/edgings to the band and a highly jagged or zigzag outer margin to the hindwing band- thus Zigzag Banded Dart.

PS. The underside of this individual have a strong similarity to trachala. Confusingly some of the spots appeared cresecentic.
However, the black spots on the outer margin of the hindwing point outwards, whereas in trachala they sort of point inwards(ie. the margin of the band tend to be concave.).
