We were just talking about you on one of our outings. We thought you'd gone deep-sea fishing or something like that.

Well taken shots. I like the Acraea in particular. Must be common over there in Taiwan.

Ben Jin, since you're heading out there soon, perhaps you can ask Nelson for the good shooting spots.

Haha, I have gone into hibernation.
Yea, the Acrea is quite common in Taiwan. But apparently it has not been raining in Taiwan for the past few months and the waterfall has dried up. Thus did not met up with many Jewels during my trip there. :D

Default I hope I can catch a few while I'm off...

Nelson & all: I'll be heading off for Europe on Friday for about 3 weeks. This is supposed to be a vacation -- per instructions from my wife -- http://www.butterflycircle.com/forum...ies/police.gif and not a photography assignment, so I've been told not to spend too much time taking photos. I will, however, pack along my 70-180mm macro ... just in case. I'm not much for doing the "Tourist" tours and would be just as happy in a public garden taking photos of butterflies. In any event, I will be out of touch until the second week of June. William

The below three silverline shots are from three different butterflies from three different location. According to Taiwan butterfly list, three Spindasis can be found in Taiwan, namely Spindasis lohita formosana, Spindasis syama & spindasis kuyaniaus.

Most probably the below three are either Spindasis lohita formosana or spindasis kuyaniaus.
