I have a photo of the Sesiid, and it is still in my UFO file, after 3 years, there are so few sources of info on this family.

2&3 are an Arguda species (Lassiocampidae).

6 is Ambulyx substrigilis. We saw a strongly marked specimen of this is Danum Valley.

8 is a Phalera species (Notodontidae)

Nice collection of bromeliads btw.
Thanks, Les, Aaron, for the comments and the IDs

All taken at a highland in Pahang. Lots of insects and moths there in the morning. They leave the light on at night to attract bugs. In the morning, lots of birds will come to prey on the insects. A great place for birders and macro photographers
