Did you see any of the Charaxes spp there? My old hunting ground near Kuala Woh had several species all at one location.
The weather was not very good when we were at Kualoa Woh (it was on 1 May). The place was full of locals having family outings . Many Raja Brrook's Birdwing but we didn't see any Charaxes species, not even the Tawny Rajah.

It seems like season for Libythea myrrha hecura.
We saw two of them late in the afternoon; they love the brickwall very much. This is the only shot I have when it was resting on a leaf.

A great series, Fed. I am very envious of the upperside shot of the Xanthotaenia busiris busiris. I have been trying for 3 years to get one, and I am still waiting!!!!

Up in the northern part of the peninsula, the Autumn Leaf is more likely to be the Malaysian subspecies pratipa. The subapical white spots are missing when compared to the subspecies bisaltide or australis.
