Dear everyone,

Call for Nominations for the ASEAN Champions of Biodiversity

The ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), in partnership with the ASEAN Foundation and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), have recently launched the ASEAN Champions of Biodiversity, aimed at recognising private/corporate sector, media, and youth organisation with outstanding achievements in biodiversity conservation and advocacy. We would like to extend an invitation for nominations for the above award. In addition to cash prizes, winners will be appointed as Ambassadors of Goodwill, and given opportunities to speak before business, youth and media leaders during ACB-sponsored workshops and conferences in ASEAN Member States. The eligible categories are:

1. Business/Corporations - Most outstanding biodiversity conservation and/or advocacy project by a private business/corporation
2. Media - Most outstanding biodiversity reportage and advocacy by a media organisation
3. Youth - Most outstanding biodiversity conservation and/or advocacy project by a youth organisation

Nominations should be submitted directly to the Secretariat of the ASEAN Champions of Biodiversity by 15 July 2010. Please find attached the nomination form and award brochure for your reference. Thank you.
