    Yes. The band is marked by pointed black spots.

    I don't know if anyone is collecting data on feeding but Crinum asiaticum seems to be popular with the Cephrenes. On Sat, a C.trichopepla reached deep into the flower to have a drink. On Sun, this C.acalle was at the same patch, having a drink. We have many other high nectar plants at the Garden and this Crinum is not considered as a food plant.
