Today a very long walk, but all the butterflies I saw yesterday look like disappeared

    Just 2 normal shots:

I think your Sunbeams are C. santana as all examples of C. bulis bulis from Thailand have the forewing dark line continued on the hindwing as a 2nd inner dark line to the tornus.

In C. santana this inner line/band is absent or broken & dislocated.

It does, indeed. This is C. santana malayica. The hindwing borders are much broader in C. bulis.

OK, so the ID is sure now.

Funny in Samui this one should be the rarer of the two, but here it looks like is the most common (actually the only one since now)

Thanks Seow and Les for the help!

Funny, I can only see a frozen frog in post 74.

As for post 75, the see-thru looks like bulis but this can be deceptive.

Sorry, Antonio, but I slept on this one and am now having certain doubts.

The upperside markings appear inbetween the two species, showing certain aspects of both. There is certainly a larger orange patch on the hindwing than I would normally expect on C. bulis, but the forewing markings are closer to C. bulis.
