    Smile Miletus chinesis learchus ???

It does not match any of the following species upper:

    Miletus gopara gopara

    Miletus biggsii biggsii

    Miletus symethus petronius

The upper looks very similar to the upper of C&P4 Plate 33 fig 3 & 4 , Miletus chinesis learchus

Though the species is/was supposed to be found on the northern part of Malay Peninsula.

I have quite a range of specimens from various places that look like this, Sunny. However, according to Dr Kirton, the genus is very variable, from a full white forewing patch, to none at all! I have quite a number from Mt Faber that look very strange, including a mating pair, but no luck in ID so far, except perhaps with dissection.

It is too similar to the female M. biggsii especially with the darkened veins.

Thank you Khew and Dr. Seow for the inputs!

It is a very troublesome tribe to identify!
