cool. the wings look "leathery".
what's with the Tamron 90?
the Scoliopteryx libatrix it's range : all over the world,
family : 夜蛾科
Chinese name is : 棘刺夜蛾
Not quite all over the World, Fluorite - it's a northern hemisphere temperate & warm temperate species that can also be found in mountain zones in the sub-tropics (Himalayas, East Asia, N.Africa). There is some thought that it may be an exotic species in N.America (http://www.hmana.org/mothpix/exotics.htm, and http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/...8origine.shtml).
hope this helps.
cheers,
Roger.
