Your advice given over at this NPSS thread is wrong. For one thing, it's Ciliate Blue and not Cilitate Blue (note spelling).

Worse still, it actually isn't a Ciliate Blue at all! The poor tattered butt shot by that chap is actually Anthene lycaenina miya. Note the costal spot on the hindwing which is clearly seen in both the photos.

Please correct the inaccurate advice hor? Otherwise spoil B-Pals reputation man...

Alamak! It's not that I don't make mistakes in ID too leh... just that we want to preserve B-Pals reputation as being the 'experts', so if there is incorrect information given by an 'expert' better set it right by correcting it. Otherwise we won't be taken seriously in future.

Not that bad lah... I'm sure most of you can ID the more common and bigger butts quite easily. Like that Knight taken at Ubin over at CS. Simon could easily ID it and mentioned that it was a male somemore.... impressive...
