Default ID for this tiny moth

    Dr Seow,
Any idea on the species ID of this tiny moth (about 3.5mm long)? I suspect that this is some kind of snout moth.

Several species are world wide pest on coconut, sago cotton, etc.
No match to species level found.

Great! That's fantastic to have such a near-pecfect match. Many thanks for the family/genus ID.
The larva of this particular specimen fed on seeds of Nepenthes gracilius.

Correction: They are not considered as pests being scavengers on damaged flowers & foliage.
    Close to this.

Many thanks for the new info and URLs.
Indeed, the moth I observed has strong resemblance to Pyroderces badia.
