Start the new year, still very poor of Lepidoptera, with a species from Krung Ching national park:


Numenes sp., cfr. insignis (see http://www.mothsofborneo.com/part-5/...gyiini_7_1.php)

and one from Khao Sok national park:


Unidentified Zygaenidae, medium/large size, IMHO mimic a Euploea

No. 1 is Numenes siletti, which is the type species & continental form. Range NE India to Malaya.

The Sundanian form, separated as N. insignis is restricted to Sumatra, Java & Borneo.

No. 2 looks to be the male Amesia namouna.
