Rosalind found this cat at AH a few days back and asked me what it is.
It looks to like a Lycaenidae cat. Today I saw 2 similar cats again at AH, feeding on Cinnamon leaves. It is definitely not Common Imperial. Wonder which butterfly is this.

Hi Gan,
Reared this cat few years ago. It belongs to a Day-flying moth with black and metallic blue wing colour, resembling the Striped Blue Crow. Can't remember the name as no moth-reference with me.

I see. Not sure if I should be happy or sad. Happy that I finally know how the cat of this lovely moth looks like. Sad that this is not an unidentified Lycaenid.Originally Posted by Tze Siong

I think it does spin a cocoon on leaves.

The cat was parasited![]()
Anyway the name of the moth is Pompelon marginata from the ZYGAENIDAE (Burnet Moths) family
How do one check if the caterpillar has been parasited?Originally Posted by Green Baron
