Two species can be very similar.
they both have a single FW cellspot. HW spot 7 is a sort of squiggle.
In E. andersoni the FW border in space 2 & 3 is roughly parallel to the margin.

In E. lacteola, the fW border's inner margin in space 2 &3 is slanted from costa to tornus.

This can be identified by the HW submarginal spots being catenulate,ie. like a chain-link.

Likely one species.
Should be Symbrenthia hippoclus.
The two species S. lilaea & hippoclus are very similar & a recent gene analysis suggest they may form a supercomplex.
This was based on a couple of gene markers & may be inadequate.
I follow Eliot in C&P4.

UnF discal spot 3 which is triangular is largely pinkish. Similar HW discal spots 4, 5, 6 may also be pinkish but hard to see in fieldshots.

Most authors now relegate the forms with blue band in the male as T. cocytina including on the continent.
The form in Singapore would be T. cocytina puseda.

This Bornean endemic is IDed thus.
Upperside with broad black border on both wing; FW ocelli totally obliterated.
UnF with an eyespot in space 3 ,so no gap between the spots.
Underside dark discal fascia with a branch marking the cellend, less clear on the FW.

The other two can be confusing especially on the underside.
UnF without a spot in space 3, so there is a gap between spot 2, & spots 4 & 5.

The FW is marked by 3-4 series of small white spots.
The Bornean subspecies have much reduced spotting on the HW.

23. Should be Celastrina lavendularis placidina.
The markings are as for Celastrina.
Three species are known in Borneo.
In C. philippina & algernoni, the UnH submarginal line defining the black spots is rounded (crenate).
In C. lavendularis placidina the line is sharply serrate.
Also C. lavendularis tend to be darker grey with white-ringed spots.
