Butterflies of Langkawi
Prothoe franck uniformis (blue begum)
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3436/...154cb26d17.jpg
Spindasis lohita senama (long banded silverline): Upperside don't look shot with blue. But CP4 mentioned that "otherwise, in both sexes, the wings are brown..." on Pg 263. And then again I'm not sure. Feel free to correct.

Papilio helenus helenus (Red helen): Upperside hindwing looks like way too many red spots as compared to CP4. So again, not sure whether this is just a variation or... ?

Ancistroides nigrita maura (chocolate demon): not sure about this one becos the wing shape looks a bit off...not rounded enough...?
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3518/...3132b71d5a.jpg
Faunis canens arcesilas (Common faun): the upperside looks a lot lighter than the ones I see in SG... so not sure what species this is
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3477/...b588c6ca6a.jpg
Tanaecia lepidea matala (The Grey Count): Believe this to be the grey count due to the very falcate forewings. Pardon the very far away record shot.

Sunny, can I take it that you were working late into the night!:grin2: :lazy2: Your Red Helen is a Great Mormon!
Ellen, these are great shots, particularly the Blue Begum.  Your Celaenorrhinus species is, I believe C. asmara asmara, as I can not see a small spot at the base of the white discal stripe on the upperside. The last UFO, the white striped skipper, is, I think, Lotongus calathus calathus (White-tipped Palmer). It is the only species with that characteristic white marking on the hindwing, though it appears to be a bit more prominent than in the photos I have seen.
I'll leave the Arhopalas and LBJ, too difficult and I am getting lazy,:), though the skipper is likely to be either an Isma or Panara species. Impossible to tell which just from a single underside photo!

Thanks Les for pointing out the mis-ID !;P Your are right and corrected.
Was like you, getting lazy:bsmile: .... thought I shot the Red Helen and just copied and pasted Ellen's post.:embrass:
