Just realised that this bugger is the subspecies martha that is predominatly found in northern Malaysia and southern Thailand. The upperside hindwing is very orange when compared to the subspecies malayana from Malaysian mainland, and parkeri from Singapore.
Perhaps Sunny, Bobby or Ellen may also have got an upperside shot of it.
Nope ! I dun have any pic of the Knight!
The hindwing color appeared to be more orangish , but thought it was a normal Knight.
I don't have my copy of C&P4 with me right now. But I remember seeing all 3 subspecies being featured in the Plate? Or did I see it in some other book? :hmmm:
Lebadea martha martha, Lebadea martha malayana and Lebadea martha parkeri.
C&P4 Plate 26 features :
L. martha malayana and L. martha parkeri
whilst Pisuth Plate 182 features:
L. martha martha and L. martha malayana.
Difficult to tell L. martha malyanan and L. martha martha apart , unless there is a good upper wing shot.
