Great great photos from the trip. I can see that you guys enjoyed so much out there.
Uncle Sunny, like your Yellow Banded Awl - super sharp; and the Pendlebury's Zebra - the BG colour is so nice.
Looking forward to see more shots from the others ;P

Ha... but Yiming's D3s went to the hospital liao. Cannot stand too much high ISO?
All the 6 shots above were shot at ISO1250. The Orange Tail Awl was shot at ISO2500. Amazing. No need to de-noise! :omg:
Wow, so many nice open-wing shots from Khew

woah, the d3s really poisonous..... It looks as it it was shot with low ISO. Not a bit of grain to be seen.
Very nice series Nelson! Nice crisp shots!
Poison are priced differently !;P Some can afford some cannot :bsmile: !
There is no such thing as noiseless lah, we are not there yet on digital sensors.
If you have sharp eyes , you can still make out noise on those Khew taken at ISO 1250 . The Orange Tail Awl shot taken at ISO 2500 is very impressive and the best of the lot with some discernible noise and dust spot.;P

phew... *floods thread*
Actually Ellen, i think it's a royal assyrian(a female).:grin2:;)
i was pretty sure abt the id. I will get back to you on that when you are 20 and i have retired and got more time to check. Thanks ar. Haha. :)
So many nice shots of butts
James
Ellen, your photos of the Malayan Albatross are actually either Appias albina or Appias paulina. They are sometimes quite difficult to tell apart, depending on the form of A. albina, which can be quite variable. There was a Malayan Albatross around, but your shots are not of that species.
I am very envious of your shots of the Malayan Zebra, particularly the upperside, which I have not managed yet.
I agree with you about the ID of the Terinos clarissa shots. There were quite a few about. They are larger than the more common T. terpander.
thanks very much les! I was waiting for someone to say something abt the albatrosses. Wasnt sure of their id. :)
The Appias shots have to be carefully studied and sorted out. C&P4 doesn't show all the species' M/F and upper/underside shots. So we may not have the full reference material to distinguish them. As Les also said, there are various 'forms' amongst them as well, to add to the confusion.
But definitely not as difficult as the Jamides, Nacaduba and Arhopala. ;P
thanks. Guess i will have to kiv the appias shots until i can find more references. I didnt get their upperside shots so i guess that will make it even harder still...
Here are some of my pictures... Need some help on the ID.

Nicely done Bobby, I like the last Pic. :bsmile:
what big pimple you got there on the nose :P
hahaha bobby, thats shd be the picture of the trip !
The unnamed Prosotas species is, I believe, Prosotas lutea sivoka, distinguished by the large black marginal spot in space 6 of the hindwing.
I'm really amazed with all the nice photos posted and that so many different BF could be captured in one single outing (same goes for Federick's Perak trip). How nice it would be if there are such locations for outing in Singapore ;P
Once again, great photos guys !!!
