The Malayan Birdwing is a male and what a magnificent individual with clear yellow forewing vein-stripes.
Most seen have the vein-stripes not so clear & so marring the general appearance.

Thanks Seow ! I got male and female mixed up.
I think this is a female Common Birdwing

These two are the female of Malayan Birdwing

When we first reached the Mossy Forest, it was cold, windy, and misty. The altitude is more than 6000ft.
See video below:

The least expected was to see a butterfly. And this species was seen zipping around in high speed, engaging in dog fight and oblivious to cold and crowds.
Hasora mus pahanga

What a lovely shot of the Hasora!!
I remember seeing one at the summit of Gunung Brinchang when I went a couple years back.
I wonder if it's host plant is only found at that altitude.
Post 41.
The female Malayan Birdwing, apart from the large conjoined black spots on the HW, have the FW brown (not black), & the lower vein-stripes very short so that the dark area is a square.
Post 42.
Hasora mus pahanga is restricted to high altitudes, strange for a cold-blooded creature , & resembles a little guy in a fur coat.
It also probably looks lke a small mouse zipping about. ( mus = Latin for mouse.) Its name translates as Pahang mouse.

Wow the macro photos are fantastic!

Blue Glassy Tiger Ideopsis vulgaris.
Note FW costal blue streak ( forward margin).
Cyrestis cocles earli f- formosa (= beautiful )
Labelling error in C&P4. f-earli is the dark 'ugly' one.
Skipper is Aeromachus jhora.

Malayan Batwing is Atrophaneura nox erebus . Correction: Common Batwing Atrophaneura varuna varuna.
TL Seow
Post 50.
Because of poor connectivity I didn't manage to see the pic earlier, but presumed it was the Malayan Batwing.
Now that the pic is visible, it is the male 'Common Batwing' Atrophaneura varuna varuna. (common in Thailand).
The HW margin is scalloped ; there is a whitish area on the FW tornus; abdomen with red marks.
TL Seow: Cheers
Agree with Seow on the Batwing.
Also in post #50, the Map is Cyrestis maenalis martini (no idea of common name!), the montane specialist.
Even further, be prepared to change the Celaenorrhinus aurivittatus cameroni to Celaenorrhinus cameroni. There was a recent paper which outlined the reasons for the upgrade to specific status, but I have not read it though I believe there is some slight sympatry in Vietnam between C. aurivittatus aurivittatus and cameroni. I am keeping the old name for the time being on my site, whilst noting the possible change (too lazy to do any more about it at the moment!).
Testing new watermark... please tell me if you can see them, other than the lower left© Sunny Chir :)

Conversation before this shot was taken by Nijiac
Sunny: Nijiac what beer you wanna drink ??
Nijiac : No eye deer !
Sunny: Bottle beer taste much better. Thinking ...... *Wah piang if she drink like last nite we we'll need two dozens of big bottle for the next few days up there on the hill !*
Nijiac : How many bottles ? Will they break ? ...... she must be thinking of the Plane's high G manoeuvres....
Sunny : Ya hor ! To solve the problem let us take a cartoon ......... Thinking * if these break in the car .........we are unlikely to be able to drink them in any case.:P*
Nijiac : Wait I want a photo !
Sunny : Nijiac ! Next time must ask me to tuck in my Tummy !!!!!!!!!!
.................as it turned out ...chng and me drank most of the cartoon ...
