Somehow I think the previous version of #3 looked better, because had more background illumination.
Nice stuff Abdul.
Hello Abdul,
Nice meeting you in AH. Nice capture of these newly released Plain Butterflies.
Regards, << Yong >>
hohoho...
hi guys, back from tekong, my calotropsis all gone... my blood flower gone too... now having food crisis... today saw 6 plain tigers at my balcony.... 8 lime caterpillars.... looks like when i'm away, they decide to come out and play... argh... missed all the action!
my temperate cuttings of my butterfly bush have bloomed and they have been attracting lotsa butts... sheesh :bsmile:
clayton, wah, so exciting, with so many new caterpillar babies in your nursery! Happy Fatherhood!! ;-)
Sorry but I'm a little confused about the origin of those butterflies at AH. R they supposed to be wild or bred in-house then released?
Thanks for the clarification.
The majority are wild. They just come for the host plants that we've planted at the trail. The caretakers at AH just help to nudge nature along by preventing the caterpillars from getting eaten by lizards or parasited by wasps and flies. The breeding is just a side line. Even without captive breeding, the butts will be there, as the trail is a free-ranging trail without any enclosures.Quote:
