"Should auld acquaintence be forgot..."

Came across a very old friend yesterday. I had not seen my Painted Lady, Vanessa (her cousin, the Red Admiral, insists I should call her Cynthia) since the hot halcyon days of the English Summer of 2006, though we go back at least 43 years!

I don't know who was more surprised at the meeting, me or Vanessa, who only allowed me a single shot before zooming off.
