Shooting the Great Helen in flight whilst feeding requires shutter speeds of about 1/500s. Somehow, the flapping of the wings tend to be frozen at that shutter speed or higher. It occasionally stops for less than a second, and it'll depend on whether you are in the right position to shoot or not.
