Is this a new specie?

While sorting through the photos, I came across this taken in January at MNT.
I first thought of it as a Euthalia aconthea gurda (Baron), but on checking and comparing with the different Euthalia species, it does not look like any.

Nice shot, Richard. But unfortunately it's not a new species. This is a female Purple Duke (Eulaceura osteria kumana).

I'm sure you'll nail a new species or re-discovery soon, as you did for the White Royal. :cheers: I believe that find is most likely to be on Ubin. ;-)

Thank you SK. Looks like I had only encountered male PD only in the past, and have even got top side shots.
