A fruitful day at CCA
Look like the butt season is in full swing now. I was able to shoot Grand Imperial (TBC), Narrow Spark (TBC), Yellow Chequered Lancer and Arhopala Ammon Ammon within a small area in CCA. I am not happy with the qualify of the shots, but if all IDs are confirmed, then it was a +4 outing for me.

at least +3 for the first 3 shots, congraturation !

No 4 is either A.ammon or A. ammonides (probable A.ammon as you say). Did you see the upperside?

Congrats, Horace.
I am yet to shoot Grand Imperial (TBC) and see a Yellow Chequered Lancer :embrass:

Thanks, Soon Chye, Les and Federick.
After a closer examination of the markings near the tornal area for the GI (TBC), I now have doubt about it being a GI. It seems to match these markings for Jacoona better (C&P4 plate 48, figs 1 & 2).
Les, I did not have a look at the upperside of the Arhopala. It was found in a shady area under forest canopy, and the butt did not see the need to sun its wings in such a situation.

Congratz Horace! You really no horse run! Simply amazing!

Congrats Horace on the +3 and if you include the Jacoona, +4. That should be the Jacoona anasuja and it is very localize in that particular spot. Here're a couple of shots of this butt from that spot.

Thanks Bob and Richard.
Richard, you finally nailed the Jacoona as well, when were the shots taken?
Horace

Same place as your shot.

Well captured, Richard.
The undersides of GI and Jacoona anasuja do look alike.
I have not shot both yet. Pity that I will be out of shooting action for another weekend otherwise I will spend my weekends camping there.
