Is this Caltoris cormasa?
Attachment 24565
Male Caltoris cahira austeni.
At first glance it suggest Caltoris bromus because it is the only species in Singapore where the HW have a spot in space 2 in the FEMALE.
The wingshape is that of a male & the HW is extremely dark brown.
The HW white spot is an artifact, ie injury or developmental mark, or a particulate matter, eg bird poo.
It is too near the base of space 2. Compare with female C. bromus.

TL Seow: Cheers.
Thank you Dr Seow. Will try to look for the caterpillars and get a voucher specimen for it to be added to Singapore list.
Caltoris cormasa can look quite similar ,but the HW is strongly rusty red brown.
All males.
