Huai Kaeo (Chiang Mai) 10-14 October 2012

A 4 days trip East of Chiang Mai, in Huai Khaeo district. I found a nice resort nested at the foot of a mountain range bordering a couple of National Parks. The weather was fresh and cloudy, at the beginning of the dry/winter.

Definitely a mountain forest environment, with plenty of rivers, waterfalls and forests.

It was rich of butterflies, although the not sunny weather and a day of rain.

Yes, Chiang Mai is always on my list of must-visit-places, with or without butterfly-shooting.

Some very interesting and unusual species here.:thumbsup: :thumbsup: Wish I was there, as you had offered:cry: .

It has been raining nearly every day here. Wind has changed direction, and so the rainy season is starting to warm up!

Tomorrow I'll post a series of 3 more days at Doi Suthep, the mountain above Chiang Mai, but more poor than the first..
