population seem to be coming back..at least for my workplace. the TCs are back in action. posting 2 shots using a 100-400 wide open at iso 400, 1/1600s no flash:

activity has been very low at my work place for the past few weeks....somehow the butts went missing for a while.

It is still fairly bad out there ! I guess the unusual dry spell in the last 3 months must have its effect on butterflies. It is not just our region if appears to be Asia wide and the great rivers that feed India, Burma, China and south eastern Asia are all at critical low level.

In Singapore and southern Johore , though it has been mitigated by the wet spell in the t two weeks. There were more of our butts out the in the field than actual butterflies during last weekend outing in the west.
