In the July 2009 issue of Gardenwise (http://www.sbg.org.sg/publications/76.pdf), on page 22, the newsletter of SBG, there is an article on Crateva religiosa (Sacred Garlic Pear).

This plant is a known host plant for many Pieridae that includes Cabbage White (Pieris spp), Great Orange Tip (Hebomia glaucippe), Chocolate Albatross (Appias lyncida) and the Sawtooths (http://butterflycircle.blogspot.com/2009/10/of-saws-and-teeth.html).

Perhaps the plant is rare, and may be one of the reasons why some of these species, which were recorded in Singapore before, have disappeared and only the occasional migrants are seen.
