Just read that Geocities is shutting down (http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TECH/10/26/geocities.closing/index.html) today.
Khew, does this mean that you need to move your official Butterfly Checklist for Singapore and your butterfly site there?

See what happens first. Seems that I don't need to do anything, from the message I got from them.

Soon you can upgrade to Yahoo! Web Hosting at no extra charge.

Dear Yahoo! GeoCities Plus customer,

We're writing to remind you that after October 26, 2009, you'll be able to upgrade your GeoCities Plus account to Yahoo! Web Hosting at no extra charge.

Although we have enjoyed hosting GeoCities web sites created by Yahoo! users all over the world, we have decided to close GeoCities on October 26, 2009, so we can focus on Yahoo! Web Hosting, our premium hosting service.

As a valued GeoCities Plus customer, you won't experience any change to your site when GeoCities closes. When you move to Web Hosting, you'll get some great new features, and you won't pay an extra dime for five years.

What You Need to Do
Not much! After October 26, 2009, when GeoCities closes, your friends and family will still be able to view your web site as usual. When you sign in to your GeoCities Control Panel, we'll show you how to move your entire GeoCities account — including your files, images, and monthly bill — to Yahoo! Web Hosting with just a few clicks. You will no longer be able to update your site using the GeoCities Control Panel.

During this process, we'll ask you to choose a domain name. A personalized domain name (such as widgetdesigns.com) can make your site look more professional — and you'll get one free as part of your new service.

After you choose a domain, you can manage your site with your new Web Hosting tools. We'll also redirect visitors from your GeoCities web address to your domain. See more on this transition (http://one.yahoo-email.com/r/0/3n42309j0s4xev0/49651002223).
About Yahoo! Web Hosting
Our Yahoo! Web Hosting (http://one.yahoo-email.com/r/0/3n42309j0s4xev0/49651002224) service offers everything in your GeoCities Plus plan and more:

A personalized domain name and matching email

Our easiest-to-use site building tool, Yahoo! Site Solution (http://one.yahoo-email.com/r/0/3n42309j0s4xev0/49651002225)

Much more file storage and bandwidth

24-hour phone support

Questions?
If you have questions about these changes, please visit the GeoCities help center (http://one.yahoo-email.com/r/0/3n42309j0s4xev0/49651002226).

We want to thank you for being a GeoCities customer, and hope you continue to enjoy your Yahoo! services.

Best regards,

The Yahoo! GeoCities team

I see, so you are on Geocities plus.
It looks like you need to migrate to their new webhosting service, but any references to the "old" geocities URLs will still work under their redirection.

Just checking - I tried the links in Singapore Butterfly Checklist but its not working. Is it because of the shut down of Geocities or there's an updating going on ? :hmmm:

The new domain is still pending. An email says that we have to wait for 72 hours before the domain becomes active. Will update everyone after it's stable.

In the meantime, please use this temporary link (http://p6.hostingprod.com/@butterflycircle.org/sgchecklist.htm).
