Saw this news item that the area west of the Tyersall Avenue, a 9.8-hectare parkland, will be added to the Gardens by 2012. Isn't this the area we thought to have belonged to the Sultan of Johore?

Yes, for the moment, it still belongs to the Sultan of Johor. :)

I see. It is good that the Sultan has decided to return the land which could have been harbouring some butts species. The two recently encountered Jamides species in SBG could have flown in from across the road.
