Peacock Royal

Woke up quite early and it was raining this morning so I updated my blog (http://www.peacockroyal.blogspot.com) and lamented that I have not seen a female Cruiser in the field as well as photo for a very long time. After the rain had stopped, I decided to go to one of my favourite hunting grounds in CCA in the late morning. I saw two male feeding on the Mikania micrantha (mile-a-minute) flowers and one female Cruiser high up on the tree top. So decided to wait there, hoping she would come down. My patience paid off but it was quite a challenge to shoot as she kept flapping her wings while feeding.
Decided to post these two shots as female Cruiser was rarely seen and shot in the field.
