Along this stretch of the main track in CCA, I encountered these two Lascars sunbathing and puddling.

Agreed that they are rather pristine, especially the Malayan Lascar. There were just a few scratches on the Burmese Lascar left forewing. :)

I would agree that the first pic is a burmese lascar based on the key in C&P4 but all the photos of the burmese lascar do not seem to show a consistent width of the submarginal band.

For example, this one (http://butterflycircle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7761&highlight=heliodore)bred by LC Goh was also a burmese, but the submarginal band on the forewing of his specimen was much thinner than ur current one.

I'm not sure if C&P4 considers this.

I love lascars. The orange really flares and they look so innocent.
