Took some shots in a forest near Bintan Lagoon... :)

Cannot ID eggfly... at first thought it's a great egg...then the upperside looks so odd.. and there's all these blue patches on the underside.

Looks like Cycad blue... but looks like there's an extra badly formed spot on the hindwing underside

This tiger is really pale...and tattered... it doesn't look like the dark glassy or blue glassy...

Erm.. why are the blue patches of the Great Eggfly strange? That's the typical patches with blue fringes. That's a Great Eggfly.

There are some Cycad Blues with that extra spot.

The Glassy Tiger is probably something else, or a subspecies of one of them Can't tell for sure without a specimen. ;P

Looks like you're hooked on butts. Shooting them wherever you go. :)

I must be blind.. I can't see the blue patches on the great egg in CP4 or the photos on the checklist... *Squinty*

You're not totally wrong there. The blue patches are specialised scales which show up as blue only when light strikes it at a certain angle. If you go to Oh' Farms often enough, you can see the similar and related subspecies jacintha males also having this colour.
