Can everyone who shot the Banana Skipper post their shot here for further discussion?

Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks for posting your shots, Henry and Wong.

Attached is the adult skipper, which I bred from egg. Does it look like yours? You might want to click here (http://butterflycircle.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15048#post15048) for previous discussion, if you have some times to spare. :)

If the photo posted by Green Baron in post #4 (http://butterflycircle.com/forums/showpost.php?p=15048&postcount=4) is correct, do you think what you shot is a E. thrax or E. torus?

Thanks in advance for all the thoughts.

A snapshot of the forewing of the skipper.

According to C&P4 (pg373), the key to differentiate the E. thrax and E. torus are:-
E. torus: Forewing apex rounded and termen convex. Forewing vein 1b much shorter than hindwing vein 7...
E. thrax: Forewing apex acute and almost straight. Forewing vein 1b and hindwing vein 7 of equal length...

I am sure the forewing apex of my specimen is not acute but rounded. So, E. thrax is out!

CM, I bred 4 of this Erionota sp but still find hard to ID them *sweat*
What do think about the ID? Let me know if you're interested to take a look on the full size pic of specimen photo 4, so can compare the "Forewing vein 1b against hindwing vein 7".

1. ID as E. torus ? Feed on Fishtail Palm

2. ID as E. torus ? Feed on Red Palm

3. ID as E. torus (?). It's another specimen feed on Fish Tail Palm.

4. ID as E. thrax. Feed on Banana leaf. Forewing termen almost straight
