Finally got the chance to see a female Magpie Crow, but one which was too skittish for any proper shot.

Nice shot there:thumbsup: . I had to do a quick check to ensure it was not a female of the Courtesan (Euripidus nyctelius).

Very slightly off thread, but since you are now coming across the Courtesan more often, but yet to see a female, here is what you need to look out for and when compared to Horace's photo they show the excellent mimicry, and the differences between the females the Magpie Crow and two of the Courtesan females. In flight, they look remarkably similar. It is only when you have a photo can differences be seen. Hope this helps in your search for the female Courtesan.

1) Courtesan Female form euploeoides.
2) Courtesan Female form isina.
