My last destination of butt heaven before driving back to KL. I had a few minutes shooting them as my wifey and children were waiting.

Ahem... "Have you done yet ?" :bsmile:

I was stunned as I saw more than 20 of them flying and puddling near the river bank. Just can?t describe it here? they are so beautiful in flight, chasing each other, spinning around the river. I think I can sit there watching them whole day.

You have to see it yourself.

SMSed CM the location, he will chase after them tomorrow.

OK, LC, you've got me really really jealous! Beautiful butt. I know its found in the deep south of Thailand (Yala) and is moving SLOWLY northwards in its distribution, but I don't think it will reach here in my lifetime.

Malaysia here I come!! (August/Sept)

Great shots of the King of Butts, LC!

In a good season, you may see up to 50 of these buggers puddling. The females are lurking up in the treetops somewhere, feeding on flowers.

Wow, so many of them! Love the panning shot.
Previously when I visit Perak near Gua Tempurong, sighted a group of them puddling at river bank as well.

Thanks, can't wait to go back there again. CM reported bad weather today, guess he is going to miss this.

Thanks, not in KL, at the bottom of the Cameron Highland.

Just counted the butt on the river bank of my site. I have not included the opposite site yet. I guess there are more than that.

Thanks SC. Yes somewhere near there. Some resorts are charging the visitors just to take them to see this butt. I would really like to go into the forests all the way up to the top of the water fall from Gua Tempurung. Have you been there before ?

Great shots, LC.

I am fine with it, as long as the area is still there, the butts will be there...

There are at least four more waterfalls around that area you could visit, LC (with less visitors and more mini size) which look promising too.
