Took this shot yesterday. On checking doesn't look like any Miletus species I shot. It is solitary and tend to rest often on leaf. Size is fairly big for a Miletus around the size of a Lesser Darkie.

Do you recall the upperside on the occasions when it took flight?

The top side is brown and white when it flies, colour about 50% of each colour.

Brown n white sounds like miletus gopara or female miletus symethus. It looks more like miletus symethus.Btw, do miletinae haf reduced forelegs?

Aaron with your uncanny ability to make such wild confirmation without any references, it's a pity you did not write your own butterfly book.

You must have super sharp eyes to be able to distinguish the differences of the sets of Miletus species from the Philippine site. I have checked those out many times before and still not able to confidently nail the specie. First, the pics shown on the site are fairly washout and even replecating them and blowing them up I still cannot pin down the specie. Even with the Butterflies of Thailand book with much better illustrations it is still not so distinguishable.
