Autumn Leaf

Hi all,
Just want to share these 2 Autumn Leaf Butts. I noticed some differences.

This species is very variable in markings, though you appear to have a particularly well marked one (the second). The white forewing markings are quite unusual. I have seen specimens without any markings, no ocelli, just the central leaf rib, before now. Also, it is the male which has the stronger markings, so you have probably got the female (first) and male (second).

Les is right. From my observations of this species in Singapore, the males tend to have stronger white markings, whilst in the females, the white spots are much less, or totally absent.
