Ok, I have marked out some of the differences between the two Glassy Tigers.

Ideopsis vulgaris macrina (Blue Glassy Tiger)

Great observation ! However bear in mind that not every spots on the wing can be used as ID keys as some of these are quite variable. The ID keys in C&P4 are developed by the experts through many years of observation and comparing many many specimens, so it is best to follow the ID keys in C&P4. Having said that, I think the markings at the subapical region of the forewing is a reliable secondary ID key to differentiate these 2 species.

ya, i know. presently i don't have a large number of specimens to compare. maybe u guys can help check with whatever u have, and report any that contradicts the diff that i have indicated. ;P
