Potanthus Probably latinised name Potanth of S.Indian origin: Juno , Roman goddess, wife of Jove (-Jupiter.)

Potanthus juno have been recorded from Singapore in the past but seem largely to have been overlooked.

Eliot state of this species, subapical spot 8 absent or small.
Underside orange-tinged like ganda.

Potanthus juno. FW 14mm.
FW typically with two subapical spots 6 & 7.
spot 8 is usually absent or vestigial.
FW spot 5 is smaller than spot 4 (as in serina)causing much confusion.
HW veins not dark-dusted.
Abdominal end mostly yellow, may be dark shaded but no definitive black band.
Underside lightly dark shaded but no spots.

Potanthus serina, Larger FW 16mm, but looks similar.
FW typically with three full subapical spots.(Spot 8 may be smaller.)
FW spot 5 smaller than spot 4.
HW with a samll spot 6 at inner corner.
UnH ground shaded blackish brown.
Abdominal end black-banded.
